A Small Hug. A Big Difference.

We bring comfort and joy to children during hospital visits by gifting them a lovingly chosen stuffed animal along with a small note of encouragement; providing something familiar, in an unfamiliar place.

About Little Heroes Hug Squad

Small Moments Matter

Little Heroes Hug Squad was created after seeing how much a simple stuffed animal can mean to a child during a hospital visit. It’s more than a toy, it’s something steady to hold onto, bringing a feeling of normalcy in a situation that can feel overwhelming.

Each and every hug is carefully chosen and hand delivered by one of our volunteers exclusively at Christ Hospital Outpatient Pavilion and Children’s Hospital. To recommend an additional care facility to our non-profit, please contact us.

  • "Thanks to Mike, the founder with a heart as big as these hugs, our outpatients get to take home a snuggly sidekick to make their healing journey a little brighter. Because sometimes, the best medicine is a warm hug!"

  • "My daughter was nervous and scared before her surgery. When the child life specialist brought her a new bunny donated by Little Heroes she was so happy. It immediately calmed her down and she brought into the OR with her and has slept with it every day since. We were so grateful to have had some joy on a very scary day."

  • "My son had to undergo an endoscope a few weeks ago, and the hospital staff, doctors, and nurses all did an excellent job helping him feel safe and comfortable throughout the experience. The little hero stuffed animal was especially wonderful. My son is autistic and also has an anxiety disorder, so the stuffed animal truly helped ease his anxiety and brought him comfort. Thank you for making what could have been a frightening experience such a pleasant one for our family."

Made Possible Through Kindness

Little Heroes Hug Squad is proud to partner with Lavender Life, whose support helps us continue delivering hugs to children during hospital visits. Together, we believe that small acts of care make a meaningful difference.
